2018 was the year that I officially nailed "hungover skincare". Is this something I should feel proud of? Probably not. But I'm all for celebrating ones successes, however weird, small or eye rolling-ly sad they might seem to others... so well done me! Anyways, let's dive (or crawl) straight in to those bathroom shelves and show you what I reach for...
SHOP THE POST
So the three main principles of treating a skin hangover are: hydrate, de puff and de-zombie. This process is one I generally like to space out over an hour of so to let everything work it's magic. So to start off I use the Peter Thomas Roth Gold Eye Masks. These so an amazing job of de puffing and brightening your under eye area - late night? Who knew?! They're magic and almost as magically impossible to get hold of at times. Man I'm dreading the day this pot runs out...
Then I follow this step up with a heavy spritz of the Oskia Tan Face Mist - this stuff is amazing at not only gradually tanning your face but also giving a more immediate dose of colour (hence why I call this the de-zombie stage!) I like to let this sink it and work it's magic before giving my skin a healthy dose of hydration. Hydrating serums are a fab option, but I prefer to wait that little bit longer after my tan has settled and use the Clarins Lotus Face Oil. Not only does it give a healthy dose of hydration, perfect for dehydrated skin but it also seems to sooth blemishes and nourish dry skin. Combined with a light hint of tan on the skin from the Oskia mist it gives a sun kissed glow to the skin that acts as a subtle disguise for the late night you had. No one will ever know...

Hahah I freaking love the theme of this post! You are not alone here Suzie, we ALL need a good hangover skincare routine, even if it is just once in a while 😉
The Peter Thomas Roth face mask sounds really intriguing, but it is pricey… Does it last for a longer time?
