ILLAMASQUA METAMORPH COLLECTION
It takes a lot these days for a beauty collection to make my eyes pop out like that cute little emoji we all know and love. But when the Illamasqua Metamorph Collection was presented to me, it was love at first sight. The whole collection is based around fresh, glowing skin, defined brows and enhancing natural beauty. If Hello October did makeup I would want it to be like this without a doubt!
Now, where on earth do I start?
My top pick from the range would have to be the Vital Palette (£34) which contains four incredibly pigmented, easy to blend shadows that are both warm and cool toned. Dreamy. I love a mixture of cool and warm tones and the neutral grey/lilac shade in the bottom left mixed with the warm brown in the top right is my current favourite crease colour combo.
This is of course followed by the Beyond Powders (£32) as a VERY close second. It was hard to pick a number one from this collection all round but the powders and palette are just BEYOND. Excuse the pun… The powders are a baked formula which make them look like liquid in the pan. They glide over the skin and can give both a subtle radiant glow or an intense highlight (use your fingers or spritz your brush after picking up the product for the most intense highlight of your life). The amount of product in the pan is incredible and it can be used over the body during the summer for an all over glow… I’m typing this imagining it on my travels in the coming months thinking “YAAASSSSSSSS”.
And then we have the Brow Builds (£18.50). I’m that girl that transcends both sparse and wild brows, so pigmented setting gels are a real necessity. These gels give a fuller brow look by coating the tiny little light hairs and also set them in place.
The Masquara Gain (£20) is an addition to the collection for the lovers of fluttery lashes. It gives volume, length and definition as well as containing a natural dye, which slowly tints lashes over the course of two weeks.
And finally, the Nail Veil’s (£14.50) are beautiful shades of glossy pale pink and peach that protect and strengthen your nails, whilst also containing a non-stain formula – my poor stained nails are finally going to get a break from being stained every colour of the rainbow (and by every colour I mean purple).
I applied the entire collection to my face, and felt so spring-ready and fresh faced! To finish off the look and add a little pop of colour to the look I also patted in a little of the Illamasqua Slide Stick Lip Crayon in Fervor (out now – £18.50).
ON MY FACE:
The Metamorph Collection is out on the 7th April 2016 to their flagship store and counters.
