Before you say anything, I promise I do actually eat food at home and I promise it is (mostly) healthy. But I really couldn’t pass up an opportunity to swing by The Iv Chelsea Garden last week as I’d been itching to go for so long! We were lucky and managed to grab a table without waiting (they book up fast so it is worth chancing a walk in if you’re passing by) and although we couldn’t be seated in the garden, as half was full and the other half under construction (perfect timing as always…) the indoor seating is beautiful too and a window seat made so we didn’t feel too far from the great outdoors.
I’m not going to beat around the bush here, my main intention was to have a taste of their chocolate bombe, a ball of chocolate centred with ice cream that melts away once your waiter pours a warm rich caramel sauce over the top. It really is what dreams are made of.
Oh and the main? A mix of halloumi, lettuce, tomato and avocado between two slices of thick brown crusty bread was also very nice. I can never pass up halloumi and avocado in the same dish so this was just meant to be!
I left London one happy chappy after finally ticking this one off my list – it’s definitely one to keep in mind if you’re visiting the area. Now if only I could stop dreaming about that dessert menu…
