Okay, so chances are you’ve already seen this collection land on a few of your favourite websites already, but don’t click disappear on me just yet! Makeup bags and exclusive collectors boxes are being pushed aside today, because as exciting as they are, it’s the products that have really wowed me here.
Before we get started, it’s very rare that I like everything from a new collection, especially a summer one as there is always something totally unwearable and in your face. It’s even more rare that I LOVE the majority of a collection too (some call me fussy, I’m not totally sure why). But the Charlotte Tilbury x Norman Parkinson collection is incredible. I’ve separated my loves and likes below, because otherwise choosing a must buy could get real difficult!
LOVES: If you buy one thing… the COLOUR OF YOUTH LIP & CHEEK GLOW is my favourite of the bunch. A creamy blush formula that glides over the skin, with a super bright peachy pink pigment that means you only need a dab on each cheek. Not only does it look beautiful blended over cheeks for a dewy flush, it sits so comfortably on the lips too. Add a dab of highlight to the cupids bow and centre of the lower lip and things start to look a lot more plump! Could it get better? Oh yes, it smells like a MAC lipstick which makes application ten times more dreamy. However, if cheek products aren’t your thing, two new MATTE REVOLUTION LIPSTICK’s will be showing their faces this summer, and both are beauts! Miss Kensington is a warm nude (see it here), whilst 1975 Red is a beautiful coral/orange/pink/red. A lot of colours rolled in to one lipstick and the result is a universally flattering red. I’m hooked.
LIKES: The DREAMY GLOW HIGHLIGHTER and FILMSTAR BRONZE & GLOW are two that I like, but can’t quite pin point as a “must buy”. If you already own the original bronze and glow, a purchase of it’s new cream counterpart may border on excessive and despite being an eternal lover of cream products I still prefer the original as it’s bronzing properties are much better (however the cream version is much better for contouring). Following on from that the Dreamy Glow is a more subtle and rosy highlighter in comparison to the Filmstar Bronze & Glows, it’s stunning and much more appropriate for everyday wear. Although I really like it, I can’t quite pin it down as a “must have” in my makeup bag. But go, swatch, make your own mind up!
LOOK OUT FOR: Yes, there are a few new treats not party to the CT x NP collection that are rather fancy. The EYES TO MESMERISE are creamy, mousse pots of eyeshadow goodness. There are a few similar versions by other brands (including Maxfactor) so if you’re on the hunt for something a little more purse friendly you are in luck! But then we have SOMETHING SECRET that I can’t really talk about other than the fact that it is a truly stunning base product. EYES PEELED LADIES. EYES PEELED.
