Hells to the yeah for pre planning my festival look. I’ve taken the organisation to a whole new level here. Shame I can’t do the same when it comes to organising my kitchen cupboard, but hey – priorities. I’m going to Lovebox festival on Saturday 19th July and I’m SO excited as I really wanted to go this year and when Revlon invited me I couldn’t say no.
I’ve been to festivals before and no matter what the vibe is, the great outdoors, jumping around and general fun don’t mix with heavy makeup. With that in mind I decided to keep things light, with a pop of colour and just enough makeup so that I look human in my Instagram selfies. Again, priorities.
For my base I decided to use the Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation in the shade 130 (shell), it’s a great colour match and the finish is incredibly natural and long lasting. For concealer the Colourstay Concealer* is my favourite with it’s doe foot applicator and medium coverage. It’s also really blend-able which works nicely with my dry skin. To warm up my face a little (work is crazy and I haven’t seen the sun in what feels like a decade) I used the Revlon Bronzer in Bronzilla* – not too warm, not too cool toned, just right – like the last bowl in the three bears house. Call me goldielocks.
In terms of eye makeup I opted for my usual liquid liner and lashings of black mascara with the Revlon Colourstay Liquid Liner and the Photoready 3D Volume Mascara*. However I decided to deviate from my usual nude lid look and use a matte brown instead. I used the Colourstay eyeshadow quad in Addictive* all over the lid and in the crease – using only my fingers. Can you tell I’ve done festival makeup before? Pretty much everything I used in the tutorial is brush free for this exact purpose. It can be done!
To finish off I ran the Revlon Brow Fantasy over my brows to fill them in and set them with the gel to make sure they weren’t going nowhere! I then swiped on the Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm in Audacious (an old fave) for a pop colour.
