Oh hey, remember when that thing called “the sun” appeared a few weeks back? Was nice, wasn’t it? I’ll be damned if I’m going back to posting monochrome outfits just because the sun has decided it’s having a duvet day, so today I’ll be addressing what is possibly my favourite new addition to my wardrobe. The Asos Bow Back Denim Smock Dress was something I’d been lusting after for months after seeing it on Liv’s blog and when the warm stint of weather (however brief) was forecast, I saw my chance to get some instant wear out of it. It’s spur of the moment decisions like that where an Asos Premiere account is really handy and actually pays off – ordered on a Friday night, delivered on Saturday morning, ready to be thrown on for a day of prancing around in the sun – clever Suz.
I feel like this dress could be a bit of a marmite piece, but I love it. Josh frequently comments on how little I look in it – and not in a “it swamps me” kind of way, it’s just really sweet. When it comes to the whole bra vs backless debate, I’m not so fussed. I mostly wear this on warm days so there’s very little to see, and if I’m going to wear it to work I wear a discreet black string bikini underneath. No one notices and no one has to get a glimpse of my faded, “shouldn’t really have been put in that dark wash” bra’s. Oh the glamour…
P.S It also has pockets. I bloomin’ love dresses that have pockets!

I wish I could wear backless dresses, they look so beautiful, I think I just have a little too much boobage to go bra-free. Sometimes I wear a nude/white vest underneath but I don't think anything quite beats a proper backless dress, you look gorgeous. 🙂
