Two things I’ve been loving recently: Bioderma being available in a Pharmacy less than 10 minutes from where I live (making those “Sh**, I’ve run out of Bioderma” moments a thing of the past) and discovering the bargain that is the L’Oreal Gentle Makeup Remover for Eyes (late to the bandwagon on this one, I know).
Instead of opting for my usual red capped Bioderma that tends to sensitive skin, I opted for it’s blue capped counterpart which is geared towards dry and sensitive skins – pretty much sums me up. It has a clean non offensive smell and its slightly less drying on my skin than the regular version. I like.
The L’Oreal makeup remover has been dubbed as the budget version of the Clarins Instant Eye Makeup Remover. After reading countless lack-lustre reviews on their Micellaire Solution I was prepared to be unimpressed. For me it sits somewhere in between Clarins and Bioderma as it definitely doesn’t pack the strength to budge waterproof mascara, but most importantly it’s gentle. I always end up feeling like my eyes are being burnt off with budget options, so this one was a pleasant surprise. And at £4, what’s not to like?
Hmm I haven't seen the blue Bioderma yet. I'll have to look for it.

A mi me encanta el Bioderma normal, el rojo, es una maravilla.

I'm yet to try this product but if it's good for sensitive skin, then it sounds like it's worth giving it a go!

Great post! I've heard wonders about Bioderma but haven't tried it yet. I use the Lancome one and it's good, it does the job but I'm looking for alternatives, so thanks for sharing!
Have an awesome day 🙂

Hi Suzi, L'oreal also have a very similar eye and lips makeup remover, that removes waterproof makeup as well.

great post! bioderma always wins!

I think I'll have to try the L'oreal one. I've gone through so many bottles of Bioderma, I might even like the L'oreal version better.

I need to get my hands on that Loreal one :)! xx

Honestly, for eye makeup remover I'm more likely to get the cheaper alternative rather than splurging on the clarins one! If I'm going to splurge, I'd rather get a lipstick!
The Beauty Break
Sounds like a good dupe. I'm going to look for it next time I go shopping!

I don't have sensitive skin, but I do have dehydrated. I use the pink capped version that's made for dry skin. It called Crealine TS and contains glycerin, so it doesn't leave my skin as dry. I do however have very sensitive eyes and I found that that L'Oreal remover irritates the hell out of them. I found the body shop remover to be the best.

I use the eye and lip makeup remover from L'Oreal and that gets rid of my waterproof mascara! The dry skin Bioderma sounds lovely. x

I use the L'oréal one on a daily basis. The only thing I don't like is that everytime I use it half of the bottle comes out?! I prefer my Nivea one.

i use the L'Oreal make-up remover and the rest of the skin perfection range and I love it 😀 amazing results for the price (: x

Am I right in thinking you live in Brighton? Which pharmacy do you get your Bioderma from?
I love L'oréal products, they are amazing !

Hi Suzi, I live in hove and would love to know where I can get bioderma without flying to paris 😉 xx
This looks so good, I actually like their face one as well so I may have to try this! x

P.S. I don't want to be spammy, but I have a YSL Lipstick Giveaway on my blog at the moment!
I use the L'Oreal one and I'm not quite sure if I like it – I agree in that it's not much use when it comes to waterproof mascara!

I have the L'Oreal eye make-up remover and find that it really stings my eyes although it does remove my make-up, just can't win.

I also use the L'oreal remover, it does great work and is very subtle for the eyes!

I've got the L'Oreal and love it for when I've gone a little overboard with the mascara (all the time)

Love a bit of bioderma!

Definitely like the idea of the Bioderma for sensitive and dry skin.

I love Bioderma but it's not my favourite. My favourite is the Biotherm, but they don't stock it here, so I'm finishing whatever I have.
I didn't realise they did a blue capped Bioderma
CatrinTeleri
I need me some Bioderma, and the blue capped bottle sounds perfect for me too!! H xx

I've not tried the blue cap bioderma before, sounds interesting! I wasn't really a fan of the L'Oreal eye make-up remover.
Definitely can't go wrong at £4!!!!! Looks like a great dupe 🙂

I must be one of the only beauty bloggers that hasn't tried Bioderma, but I do like this L'Oreal makeup remover. Its gentle and does a good job at removing my mascara
http://www.letstalkbeauty.co.uk/
I'd like to use the L'Oreal eye makeup remover. I seem to like the L'Oreal micellar a great deal more than I liked Bioderma, but I seem to be the only person expressing that opinion.
It's nice that these products are becoming more and more accessible as ordering online is such a pain!

Need to give the L'Oreal a go! Love the Bioderma sensitive skin range as well. They do an absolutely fantastic cleanser!
Shaun Nolan // Shaunyland
I have soo much love for Bioderma! French skincare brands are everything.
I've just purchased the rimmel London eye make up remover.. so we'll see how/if that burns my eyes up haha.
I've heard a lot about the L'Oreal option but I have yet to give it a go. It recently got released in Canada though so I definitely need to give it a go. xx

I haven't been able to find the L'Oreal makeup remover in any of my local stores (and definitely not Bioderma) so I've been making do with my Clinique Cleansing Balm but I am in the market for a new eye makeup remover! I'll have to keep a lookout for the L'Oreal option, your review of it sounds like just what I need especially since I don't tend to use waterproof mascara that often.

Lovely Notions
Try Paula's Choice, available from paulaschoice.com
Not affiliated, just a very happy customer. It's very gently yet VERY effective. It even removes They're Real.

I've seen this shopping around, but for some reason have been hesitant to try it. Maybe I'll give it a go.

To remove even the most stubborn mascara (They're Real, I'm looking at you here), try Paula's Choice. Not the cheapest, but certainly the gentlest yet most effective remover ever. It's the only one I've found to remove They're Real mascara. Love the mascara, and now I love removing it at the end of the day.
Also good to remove not only eye makeup but also full face makeup is coconut oil.

I hope that Bioderma starts to become more readily available for me!
I'm going to have to try the blue bioderma now after seeing several reviews!!! hopefully it will solve my dry skin problems
