Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask

Introducing my latest skincare crush: The Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask*. If you’ve been reading blogs of the beauty kind for a while then chances are you’ll have seen this so many times before. For that reason I’ll keep it sweet – I just need to publicly give this my seal of approval as I normally fail massively at doing a spotlight review on a lot of my favourites.

A few months back I thought I had everything covered in the mask department. I had my clay masks, my exfoliating masks and my hydrating masks. But it still felt like I was missing something. That’s where Antipodes has filled the gap. It’s described on their website as “an intensely moisturising, cleansing and anti-oxidising treatment” and I personally think that sums it up perfectly. The effects are a more subtle version of what I’d expect to see if I used a trio of masks – just slightly more subtle. This is great as I tend to have a little redness hanging around if I use masks in conjunction with each other, but this leaves my skin looking clear, bright and hydrated, making it a great mask for both morning and evening.

Oh, and it smells AMAZING, like a honey/vanilla combo. And yes, it does make me want to leave it on for longer than the recommended 15 minutes…

I recently purchased this and I'm still getting to grips with it. I like using it as a hydrating mask after a clay number, but I'm not sure if I really see improvements.

This sounds wonderful. I've recently started using jojoba oil as a night oil and omgosh it's AMAZING! I was having a terrible dry spell (face flaking and all, I know gross), and after one night of using this I immediately saw results. It's crazy, but it works. You should give it a try : )

I just started to read your blog and it's so very lovely! This mask sounds amazing. I'm a nurse and at the hospital we started using manuka honey to help heal nasty, deep wounds. The results have been amazing so it makes sense that this mask would give great results!

This mask does smell really amazing, and it is really hydrating, but I haven't found it to feel cleansing or clarifying on my personal skin. Maybe that's because I suffer from pretty bad acne… But I do like the mask for reasons other than for my spots x

I really want to try the Antipodes masks – this one in particular sounds so lovely. I've recently starting putting manuka honey into my tea as I heard it can help with various health issues – I haven't noticed any improvements as of yet, but it tastes pretty good. Added this to my wish list!
