What’s In my LFW Bag?

Fashion week will always be one of those things – a bit like marmite – you’re either interested or you’re not. I’ve always been curious to jump in and experience things first hand – this time of year I’m either finding staff to work for LFW by day or I’m reading about it by night. This year so far I’ve seen Marcus Lupfer and 1205, and by the time you read this I might just have some more to show you on one of my favourites – so make a mental note to check my Instagram (@hellooctoberxo) after this. In preparation for this weekend I little a little bit of reading up on things I would need and was pleasantly surprised when there wasn’t anything I needed. (Okay I might have forgotten my purse when I left first time around but we’ll call that a trial run) So what did I pack?…

Beauty: This is the part where you can scrimp a little as long as you do your prep work before you leave the house. A long lasting base will mean that you will have to do very little touching up through out the day, but when you’re racing between shows things can get a little sticky, so here’s my shortlist:

Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Mist (for freshening up your slap) // Jo Malone Peony and Blush Suede Cologne (for when the tube is just a bit too hot and sticky) // Revlon Matte Crayon in Complex (because it’s a beaut) // Mac Studio Fix Powder Foundation (for touch ups) // Pai Hand Cream

The Techie Bit: This is the bit where I usually fail miserably, but this time over packed (but only slightly). A portable charger is a must as I’m always that person that runs her phone to the ground in a couple of hours, and my iPad is my best friend on long delayed journeys. My Canon EOS M is obviously an essential part of going back stage and is so small making it much easier to carry round with me and much lighter on my back. I did over pack in terms of my lens’ though, I never even switched from my 18 – 55mm.

Canon EOS M // iPad Mini // Portable Charger // iPhone 4S // Canon 50mm Lens

Everything Else: For moments when I’m blind, hungry, or on the train.

Allure Magazine // 16 – 25 Railcard (my life and money saver) // Oyster Card // Cath Kidston Card Holder // red and blue PaperMate pens // Gok Wan for Specsavers Glasses // Rice Dream Chocolate Milk *drools*

Special thanks to Hannah for her LFW guides (I couldn’t have done this without her) and to Man Repeller for the lighter guide to LFW (because there is no where to put your coat) – sweat it out ladies.

Love the camera! Such a handy size. I have the canon EOS 600d and it can be really hard to carry after a while. I would have loved to have gone to LFW, unfortunately it would have been too expensive since I live in N.Ireland. 🙁
