After deciding to stay in our current home a little longer than originally planned, I decided to get to work and start purchasing a few more home pieces. With high ceilings and more mantelpieces than one girl needs – I’ll take the extra wall space for shelves any time- I like to keep things to a 75/25 split of modern and vintage with furniture and accessories.
I’d been after a tray for a while after becoming a regular lurker on Bridie and Rebecca’s Instagrams. So when I saw a vintage cut white tray with Parisian lettering in Debenhams, I grabbed it and headed for the checkout… Obviously getting slightly distracted on route and picking up the silver pineapple dish. I’ve been keeping my jewellery on it which is perfect as my rings tend to scatter themselves in to the far corners of our flat otherwise!
After Debenhams I thought I was finished with my spending, and the found myself in the Next home section. Funny that. Not too sure how that happened but we’re now the proud owners of a china heart bowl. You have no idea how much I enjoy eating my coco pops from this in the morning. I only picked up one, but I have a voucher and I’m thinking I need the full set…
I’ve also been gifted a few Zara home items from friends since we moved in, my favourite being the butterfly glass that came complete with a large tumblr as well. Great for serving drinks when guests are round. Even better for keeping flowers in. And then there’s the cute little H&M home candle courtesy of Luce. Looks adorable, smells like play dough, but I loves it!
Next on my list? Things to spruce up the bathroom. *covers eyes/pretends it doesn’t exist*
