New year, new series. After two years of hating the words “top five”, we’re going for something a little different over here. Say hello to “most loved”, where I compile my most loved products from various brands and stores that I’m obsessed with. Today I thought I’d kick it off with a few of my favourites from a brand that I’ve been in love with since this little space first coughed up it’s first post (if you could even call it that…).
Nars Pure Radient Tinted Moisturiser:
I can’t count the amount of times I’ve mentioned the Nars tinted moisturiser since I first got my hands on it. Sheer, but still has just enough coverage to dull scarring and imperfections, decent lasting power (well for a TM anyway), a more satin, radiant finish than the dewy/shiny finish that comes with most and a really good colour range. I can’t stand it when I’m the palest shade in a range (Bourjois – I’m looking at you). If I had to throw out every other Nars product, I think this would stand a good chance of being the keeper.
Nars Radient Creamy Concealer (Custard):
Good coverage? Check. Brightening but without the shimmer? Check. Blend-able? Check. Like the Collection lasting perfection concealer but without the cakey finish? Check. This is my go to on those “boy do I look rough” days as I can use it to quickly and effectively cover both dark circles and spots/redness. I’d recommend using a good eye cream otherwise things can look a little heavy, but unless you have seriously dry eyes *points at self*, you’ll be fine.
Nars Loose Light Reflecting Powder
We all know how I feel about powders. There are very few that I get along with, but this is one of the few in my makeup mountain that I actually feel make my makeup look better rather than worse. It’s a light reflecting setting powder, but with zero shimmer, matting the skin whilst still leaving a luminous look. I love. Only thing I don’t love is that it’s loose and makes a mess in my bedroom. Oops.
Blushes – Gina and Deep Throat
I always fear for what my analytics might show when I post a Nars blush name on the blog. That aside they’re my favourite blushes – I used to stop by Space NK after a bad day at work and pick myself up one. Consequently I’ve owned a fair few over the years. However the “bad day” habit had to stop and so did my growing collection – a few have been handed out to friends so now only a handful remain. Gina and DT are my favourites of the bunch that are left. DT is saved more for girly makeup days with it’s light pink sheen and subtle shimmer, it’s so pretty and a good one to start of with if you’re new to the world of Nars blushes. Gina is a peachy/orange with a more matte finish, one of my go-to’s on days where I’m just not sure what to put on my cheeks.
Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencils
The lip pencil collection is growing – another Nars habit that needs to stop. Cruella and Red Square are my favourites, although I am currently on the hunt for something a little more on the pink side (watch this space). Long lasting with a velvet/matte finish and incredible colours – there was no way these weren’t going to be mentioned. Another contender in the “if I had to give up all my Nars products” scenario.
