I have a colour confession. I’m head over heels for grey. It started with slouchy sweats and socks, moved on to dresses and accessories and has now crept it’s way into my makeup bag. It might not appeal to everyone, but besides feeling effortlessly chic and going with the majority of outfits in my monochrome wardrobe, it matches the current grey streets and skies (and sea, most days) of Brighton, something I’ll never fall out of love with.
It started creeping in through the subtle purchase of the Kevyn Aucoin sculpting powder and then the acquisition of the Bobbi Brown brow kit* (subtle grey hues, obviously). Then in the form of Clinique’s nail enamel in Concrete Jungle and Smouldering by Revlon. But my most recent favourites have got to be Essie’s Master Plan polish and Origins cream eye shadow in “perkle”*. Both so beautiful they have become a regular feature in my makeup bag over the past few weeks.
Safe to say, grey is officially an obsession. I might have even just purchased a new item from the colour family earlier this week. Somebody stop me!
