Winter Skincare Updates

Right now my skin is definitely not at it’s best, the temperature change, office air con and eating after eights for breakfast are all showing up on my face, leaving me with some serious dryness and the occasional unwelcome guest. Luckily I’ve introduced a few products into my skincare routine that are preventing things from getting any worse!

For cleansers I’ve been sticking to products that are less likely to dry my skin out – I’ve been using the Clinique Take The Day Off cleanser* both morning and evening (full cleanse in the morning and as a pre cleanse in the evening), followed by a second cleanser of choice in the evening, this alternates between my Pai Rose and Chamomile Gentle Hydrating Cleanser and the Aurelia Miracle Cleanser*. Both do a lovely job of cleansing without stripping the skin, and are amazing from removing every scrap of makeup. I’ve been trying out a fair few products from both brands recently and I have to say I’ve been really impressed.

For my dry skin I’ve been using an old favourite: the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask. Except I’m breaking all the rules and using it in the day *gasps*. I pop it over any areas of eczema that pop up on my face and it does a lovely job of almost forming a protective barrier, giving the skin time to heal whilst it’s not being irritated. I’ve even got a mini one to take to work with me! I’ve also been using the Pai Chamomile and Rosehip Calming Day Cream*. This is such a lovely moisturiser, it’s great for winter as it’s really rich, but sinks into the skin completely, so you’re left with super plump skin and no residue left on the skins surface!

Lastly, my dry lips, this is an issue all year round for me but at this time of year in particular I go through the Nuxe Reve De Miel like there’s no tomorrow. Holy Grail product. That is all. I kid, but seriously, if you have dry lips and you haven’t tried this stuff, I seriously recommend it!

I love the Aurelia cleanser, it's so lovely! Their serum is amazing too! Pai's cleanser and moisturisers are also fab, although I haven't used them in a while. I'll have to give the Origins Overnight Mask a go!

I always change my skincare products according to season like in winters I use hydrating cleansing products which gives me essential moisture because in winters our skin gets dry and itchy so we need to use those products that keeps our skin hydrated.

I absolutely love the Origins products. My skin gets soooo dry and it is the only product that gives it nourishment without making it break out.
