I know it’s slightly out of season for BB Cream chatter, but this week I started using my Dr Jart Water Fuse BB Cream on a daily basis again and quickly remembered why it’s my go-to base of choice. My first review on it was back in 2012, but over the past year it really has been a consistently used base in my collection and I’ve converted so many people (even high coverage loving girls) onto this beauty, so hear me out:
Fuss free application: Brushes or hands this applies like a dream with fairly consistent results either way. I prefer hands so I can control where the product is concentrated, and then I don’t have to wash my brushes after either…
Skin protection: Sounds weird right? I know, but my skin actually looks better after wearing this ever day rather than going base free. I’ve also noticed that I can wear my beloved YSL Touche Eclat Foundation (which breaks me out something terrible) on top without any pesky spots popping up. It seems to form a protective barrier which my other tinted moisturisers don’t (it’s been tried and tested on many occasions). Breakup causing bases without the breakouts? If it doesn’t deserve a thumbs up because of that I don’t know what does.
Great colour correction: I find that really good colour correction, teamed with a hint of coverage really does negate the need for heavy coverage bases. I think this is the reason why so many friends with problem skin have really enjoyed using this one. It’s also really satisfying to see redness vanish before your eyes.
All skin types: Whilst I have normal combination skin, some of my friends have seriously dry or oily skin, and this works for all of them. Not only does it mean (due to the one shade matches all formula) that I can pinch theirs when i’m out with them, but it also means that this works for me however my skin is choosing to behave. A good all rounder all year round!
Finally, it’s also fairly inexpensive and can often be found at a reduced price in the isles of Boots. You can see it in action here but who knows, an updated winter version could be appearing on my channel very soon…

It's spelt 'aisles' not 'isles'.
I ADORE this BB cream; it's truly amazing. Actually, I think it's quite lovely for winter (as it doesn't sink into my dehydrated pores or highlight dry marks.

I absolutely love the Dr Jart BB Cream in the silver bottle (I can't for the life of me remember the name). It has that extra bit of coverage I think. xx

The regenerating one! It's my Dr. Jart base of choice too. <3
LOVE how it is great for all skin types!

I use the Platinum version of the Dr Jart BB cream and love it! I've not tried the Water Fuse, but I think it's slightly more creamy in texture than this one and I feel like I'm applying a nice rich moisturiser. I would recommend trying this one out for the winter! It does require a little powder or ambient lighting to set. I also find that my skin is better for wearing it!
I'd love to try it!

I've tried a little sample of this when I used to wear fake tan (I've not worn it in 3 months now, eeeek!) and I liked it but I'm worried that now I'm paler than pale it'll be too dark despite being fairly sheer.

I have this stashed in a drawer somewhere I really need to give it a proper trial, thanks for reminding me! x
This is the only BB Cream from Dr. Jart I've yet to try. I especially love the Premium formula but this I keep seeing so think I'll pick it up at Sephora π
