New Bumble & Bumble Releases

We’re having a little Bumble & Bumble moment on the blog today, with details on one of their recent events this morning (link here) and now a double review. You’ll be all Bumble’d out after today.

The first product on my list today is the Pret-a-powder*, a super fine, translucent loose powder that works as a style extender, volumising powder, refreshing powder and general, all round, bed head “just woke up like this” product. I like. I didn’t think I would but I do. It’s especially good for nights out when you want to give a little more wow-factor to your hair.

From experience it’s especially good if you’re at work and don’t want to draw too much attention to the fact that you’re getting ready in the office. Because everyone can hear a when a dry shampoo/texturising spray is let loose. It’s also fairly small in size (which is understandable because a little goes a long way), meaning it’s easy to throw in your bag without that feeling of carrying the kitchen sink. Available at the end of January, it’s definitely worth picking up if you’re looking to invest in a high end volumiser/dry shampoo/style extender type product.

Next up we have the Bumble and Bumble spray chalks*, a limited edition range of four quick dry colour sprays. I have the lavender shade, which is the only shade that I could even see working nicely with my warm brown tones, but they’re also available in Blush (light pink), Mint (green, obvs) and Colbat (blue). I love the concept of these, but to get them to show on my hair resulted in using a hefty amount of product which then left me unable to brush my hair. If you had lighter hair and simply needed a quick dusting for the colour to show then these will work better. If you’re my colour or darker I would recommend applying this post-styling, and don’t even attempt to brush it out after!

The Pret a Powder looks like something I would really like. You pull off the purple, but I just do not think I could put color in my hair. Great post!

Huh, that spray chalk is actually really interesting and I like that it still shows up pretty well on your hair though you're a brunette. It might be something that I have to look into…

Love the sound of the colour chalks, although the build up sounds like the stuff I used to use in school! The colour range sounds nice though 🙂

I love how their offerings for colour are pastels and muted so they can be worn without attracting too much attention, however for the small can I don't think i'll be trying their offering anytime soon and stick to plain and simple hair chalk!

I've been interested in the chalk spray ever since I saw it in Sephora. I don't know how well it'll show up on my black hair, but I really want to try it.
