This week liquid eyeliner and I have become good friends again. After years of wearing it i’m finally at the stage where I don’t feel I need it anymore – because it really was like my crack – and now I just wear it when I feel like. And rainy Autumn days really do make me crave a defined eye.
Base: For base i’m keeping it simple with my usual Origins Plantscription concealer and a good old blob of the Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation, my absolute favourite at the moment. This foundation combined with the Real Techniques buffing brush is just dreamy.
Cheeks: I’m having a bit of a “don’t know what to wear” blusher crisis at the moment (I may need to invest in some new ones for autumn – recommendations welcome), but have been opting for the Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Colour in Lush Nectarine. Used with the Real Techniques blush brush it gives a lovely sheer peachy pink wash, and the subtle shimmer gives a luminous finish to the cheeks.
Eyes: For eyes I’ve been doing my usual brow thang, teamed up with a bold flick using the Collection Fast Stroke Liquid Liner – my all time favourite. I’ve then been testing out the L’Oreal False Lash Teloscopic (the non waterproof version) and I can confirm it is almost as good as it’s waterproof counterpart. Almost. I’ve also been opening my eyes up using the Benefit Eye Bright, and using it in the inner corner for a matte every day highlight.
To finish off I’ve been loving using MAC Shy Girl and the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfecter for a peachy nude sheen.
It’s such a radiant/glowy look that it almost makes you forget about the weather outside. Close but no donut. Someone turn the taps in the sky off for a bit please.
Very pretty.

I love Sleek's blush in Flushed at the moment. It's a scary red tone but looks SO natural on, especially in the colder weather when you expect to look a little rosy anyway, it brightens my face up so much.

Such a lovely look to transition from summer to autumn. Love it 🙂
I find that the Revlon foundation clings to my dry patches in the colder months, so I've had to put it away until it gets warmer again. It's so annoying, because it's such lovely light coverage.
I'm really impressed with the nearly naked foundation. I always forget to use it, but when I do I'm never disappointed. I'm really enjoying your posts at the moment, definitely one of my favourites! x
You look lovely, I did love the Nearly Naked foundation but the lightest shade was too dark for my ghostly skin, I'm with you on the eyeliner love though.
