I am by no means a morning person, but I like to get my day off to a good start with my skincare routine (and tea, always tea). I never used to think much of my morning skincare, but over the summer I found a few products that just bring it when it comes to perking my face up.
Most items shown are used every day – aside from the Origins Mega Bright Serum and Hydraluron, I use one or the other after cleanser and toner to either brighten skin (Origins) or to help my moisturiser really sink in (Hydraluron – review coming soon). Lots of people ask, but the order I apply products goes like this:
- Cleanser
- Toner
- Serum
- Eye Cream
- Mosturiser
Think of it in order of product thickness (apart from your cleanser obviously), thinner products won’t be able to sink in properly if there’s something heavier in the way. If you do it a different way and it works then don’t worry about it and just keep doing what you’re doing – I just find this is the best way round for me!
Hopefully there will be an evening skincare routine coming up at some point soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that – i’ll probably do it in a different format to this one just to mix things up a bit. It might be a few weeks away though, we’ve got September favourites next Sunday (eek!) and then a very exciting birthday video coming up! (But let’s face it, I’m probably the most excited about that one…)
