The Sunday Post: Six Days…

This time next week we’ll be in the new house – we won’t have interwebs or food in the fridge, but we’ll be in our little flat with the few things we own and a whole host of donated furniture (we have some incredibly generous friends and neighbours). This weekend i’ll be prepping posts so that you won’t even notice I’m gone next week, so I’ll take you back to last weekend when things were a little more interesting…

After filming my style video (if you didn’t catch it it went up on wednesday – link here) last week, Elisha and I met Josh and Sam and made our way to the Brighton Big Screen for an evening viewing of Moulin Rouge. Situated right under the Brighton Wheel, it all feels very “brightonian” – to use that aweful term – very relaxed, with popcorn in one hand, cider in the other and rock hard pebbles beneath you (make sure you remember picnic blankets)! I’d never really watched Moulin Rouge all the way through before, but I was literally sucked in and even shed a few tears at the end – new favourite film? It has potential, I’ll give it that…

Before we arrived we stopped off at one of my favourite Brighton food haunts – Burger Brothers. Less than a year old, the guys that run it have already secured the top spot as our number one burger supplier. Their customer service is impeccable – they remember us from our first visit where I was dubbed “the best girlfriend ever”, serious brownie points for them on that one. But the burgers? The burgers are better than anything I’ve had in London – no lie. I love the “Our Favourite” burger with it’s creamy goats cheese, roasted peppers and seriously delicious sauce combination. If that doesn’t convince you then take a look at the photo above. There are no words. If you haven’t been I highly recommend making your way there very soon!

In other news, I checked my YouTube channel yesterday morning (right before my meeting at the bank – bad move) to find that I’ve hit 10,000 subscribers on YouTube! A massive thank you to all of you who have subscribed – It means so so SO much to me, so thank you muchly!

The Cosmo blog awards are also creeping closer, and voting closes on the 30th August. On Friday we got our invitations and the awards are actually taking place on my birthday! What are the chances? If you’d like to give me the best birthday present ever, you can vote for me HERE. A big thank you to those of you who have voted already, it means so much!
