I’ll hold my hands up to this one: I honestly can’t remember the last time a fragrance graced the news feed of Hello October. Very few things catch my attention – aside from the summer edition of Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb (go sniff it, you won’t regret) – however the other day my lovely colleague Lorna smelt bloomin’ amazing and was instantly quizzed on what she was wearing.
And thus a purchase of the Korres Vanilla, Lychee and Freesia Eau De Toilette was made, and within a few days I had my little mits on a 50ml bottle of the stuff. Has it been resigned to the bag of unused perfumes already? No. Has it left the contents of my handbag at all this week? No. Have I worn it every day and even given myself a good sniff on the odd occasion when no one’s looking? Hells to the yeah!
It’s soft, almost sickly sweet and ever so slightly floral and fruity (couldn’t have guessed that by the key notes could you?) and although it’s early days, I think I’ve found “the one”. I’m interested to see whether it will become my signature scent, but as things stand the odds are good and for £30 a refill isn’t out of the question either. Now I just have to stop myself from getting spritz heavy in the morning because I really cannot get enough of this stuff *sniffs own wrist*.
