When my last moisturiser hit the beauty dust, I knew for sure it wouldn’t be a re-purchase. I wanted to try something new and had a certain new release from Origins in mind. Come payday I quickly made my way to Boots to pick up the latest baby of the Origins moisturiser world: The GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturiser. I’ve used it every day since and have whittled my love for it down to three factors:
Reason #1: Perfect For Summer
More of a gel moisturiser than any i’ve used before, this product sinks into the skin quickly, but keeps my face hydrated all day long. It’s also incredibly light, meaning I don’t finish my base make up and have a very sticky/greasy/wet feeling on my face. I might currently be ending the day looking that way but I’m sure as hell not looking to start out like it!
Reason #2: Refreshing and Brightening
If the gorgeous orange scent alone doesn’t make it amazingly refreshing (seriously, it’s like angels are having a party on my skin), the gel texture will. It seems to feel even cooler than most of the other day moisturisers i’ve used which really helps to calm and brighten my skin. Perfect for the morning. If you’re hung over I’d also recommend putting this in he fridge before you go to bed (am I the only one that gets face ache when i’ve had too much to drink?). Apply the morning after the night before and it will feel like heaven on your face.
Reason #3: £££
It’s hard to believe how affordable the GinZing moisturiser is considering it belongs to the Origins family. For the quality of the moisturiser it’s worth every penny at a reasonable £23. This makes it a very good product to start of with if you’re testing the Origins waters for the first time. It also means I wont feel guilty about re-purchasing it once i’ve used every single scrap. Because I plan to. However this might take me a while because a normal/combination oily skinned girl like myself will need around a 20p sized blob each morning for the entire face.
So to re-cap? Light, hydrating, refreshing, brightening, affordable, perfect for summer and smells like there’s a party on your face…
Really want to try Origin products!

I'm SO intrigued by this and your review has only made me want this more.. but I have fairly dry/dehydrated skin, do you think this teamed with Hydraluron will be moisturising enough?

I've never tried anything from Origins, but this looks so interesting. Would you recommend it for people with dry skin?

I tried a bit of this on the back of my hand at the Origins counter last week and it felt lovely. I still have morning moisturizers to get through but this is definitely one of the next ones on my list.

Okay. Before reading your 3 reasons why this is a must have, I was already convinced by a handful of ladies that I need to give it a whirl myself but you have left me wanting this moisturiser, right this very second. 'smells like there's a party on my face?'' Who doesn't love the sound of that? Give me a piece of the action too please 🙂 For only £23, this quickly skipped the line on my ever so long beauty wishlist to take the top spot. For a person who's not a morning person in the slightest, the zesty scent will be the refreshing factor that'll perk me up for the day 🙂

I would love to try this, it sounds right up my street for summer. Unfortunately, despite it's 'reasonable' price it's far out of my budget for a moisturiser. Also, I'd like to know why it's $26.50 (£17.57) in the US and over £5 more in the UK? Doesn't seem fair.
I really want to try this! x
i recently wrote a review on this too, its brilliant isnt it!

Wonderful!! This is the best blog I ever found. Now I'm easily moisturizing my skin by using Sakare skincare moisturizer. I'd recommend to all my friend.
