The Sunday Post: Summertime Sunshine

Another late Sunday Post? Sorry – I went shopping this afternoon and was having a tad too much fun bankrupting myself (standard). But I’m home now, and I can 100% confirm I’ve had the loveliest weekend. Yesterday Josh and I went to one of my favourite summer haunts – situated right on the beach, with lovely food and drinks – we were lucky enough to get a table that sits right on the start of the beach, so we sat, watched the waves crash in and felt the sun on our (SPF covered) faces. Perfect. We even took his dogs with us as the walk there was the perfect opportunity to wear them out.

Today we went and did a little shop – as one of my favourite beauty products ran out this week (and shock horror I didn’t have a back up!) – the Caudalie Beauty Elixir. I didn’t think too much of it when I first purchased it last year, but it’s slowly grown on me. Post. Coming. Soon. I went a tad toner crazy too – so i’ll be reporting back with my thoughts soon.

I also took a little trip to London this week – all in the name of work, naturally – but took it as the perfect opportunity to meet up with one of my favourite girls, Luce. You may know her from such other interweb spaces like Bonjour Luce. We queued for a good hour to meet the Caroline Hirons, before realising that dinner would not be on the cards if we didn’t leave and come back later- thankfully neither of us were in Selfridges during the jewellery heist – phew!  But it was lovely to see her and as it happens we have another post work date scheduled for this week – yes, she really is that lovely. I also have a meet up with the lovely Hannah from A Little Beauty Spot too – so excited to finally meet her!

So it’s safe to say I’m super busy this week – I may also be working in London on Thursday too – providing I’m not too exhausted as I find London so tiring. I don’t know how people can live and work in central full time!

I’ve also decided that it’s about time the “Summer Series” made an appearance again, so keep your eyes peeled for some slightly more seasonal appropriate ramblings!

Link Lovin’

Nouvelle Daily just posts some absolute crackers – be it DIY posts, beauty or food – I take my hat off to Kate. This week Nouvelle published a recipe for Perfect French Toast. Pass me the vanilla extract and let me get to work. NOW.

This week the lovely Lily from WIHT gave us a peek of her office area. The boy and I are looking at flats with space for a desk as we both need a space for work, so it was useful to see how she’s used the space she has. I’m also incredibly impressed by her monthly blog calendar – gold star for true organisation and dedication!

What Link Lovin’ section would be complete without an appearance from Into The Gloss? Predictable? Me? Maybe… But it’s a goody, all about hair products. Grab a cup of tea and have a read, some of it is a tad obvious, but it made me think a little more about how much of each product I’m putting on my hair and also confirmed that i’m doing the majority of my routine right!

Your posts are always so lovely 🙂

I've really wanted to try the Caudalie BE but the alcohol is really putting me off. May have to bite the bullet and get a sample size but right now my Pixi Glow Tonic is my BFF so it's hard to part with that!

Lovely photos! I don't hear too much about Caudalie (apart from the beauty elixir) but I think their products are great 🙂 ♥
