It’s well known that I change my mind pretty often – you don’t want to come to any of my favourite Brighton food haunts with me because I will stand at the counter changing my order a good handful of times before going back to my first choice – but one thing that has always reigned true is my love for a good light weight base. When I was younger tinted moisturisers and BB creams were almost unheard of in the isles of Boots and I hated the thought of a heavy later of foundation, so I kept to a sheer wash of powder or went completely bare faced. But now they’re everywhere and I couldn’t be happier. As well as faking a glowing complexion, they also allow the skin to breath better. That’s where the lightest of all my bases comes in…
One product that has been used on and off on my face over the past year has been the Origins VitaZing Sheer Tint Moisturiser. In the tube it’s a grey toned cream that looks slightly scary, and on application it does seem to be a dodgy coloured moisturiser. But that’s where things get interesting. Apply generously, step back and go about your morning chores – I make breakfast (always mini chocolate wheatabix) just FYI – come back to the mirror and admire your dewy and slightly bronzed complexion.
In terms of coverage, I’d say this is a 1 out of 10. But in addition to working as a morning pick me up and light weight base for dull skin, it’s a dream under foundations. If you like a heavier coverage foundation but just want to give the natural or matte finish a dewy kick up the bum – look no further.
No need for blending, just dab on some concealer under tired eyes (an every day occurrence over at HO headquarters) and you have the perfect “no fuss” everyday base. Leaving me more time to faff around with my eye makeup and those pesky brows…
This is a really interesting product! Thanks for doing a review on it, I haven't seen reviews anywhere!
