My love of eyeshadows runs along the same lines as my love of clean eating: I understand the benefits and love the results, but when that alarm goes off at 7am, all I want is a bowl of cereal covered in sugar. No, I don’t want eyeshadow covered in sugar, but any good intentions of making an effort frequently go out the window. When narrowing down the reasons why the majority of my eyeshadows go unloved I came to the following conclusions: colour and consistency. I prefer creamier formulas and find it difficult to find everyday, wearable colours that still have an impact. They’re either too gold, too cool toned or jam packed with flecks of glitter (Maybelline Colour Tattoos – I’m looking at you)!
However, Estee Lauder answered my prayers in the form of their Pure Stay on Shadow Paints. Available in a variety of shades, these cream shadows come with a formula that just won’t budge – perfect for a long day in the office. I picked up Chained, a warm bronze shade with no glitter what so ever. I apply it with a flat eyeshadow brush and blend the corners out with a MAC 217, it dries to a semi matte finish and stays put all day, no creasing in sight! (Note: the hint of a crease on the right eye is actually just the ridiculous amount of upper eyelid I possess… Noice)
And thus, the bad habit has been broken. It’s so quick and easy to apply in the morning that I’ve been adding this into my routine fairly regularly. No, not every day – let’s not get ahead of ourselves there – baby steps and all that. However I have been eyeing up a few more of the Estee Lauder eye shadow paletts so lets not rule out the idea of a growing eyeshadow collection come next payday! Only three weeks to go, the countdown starts now…
Great review, I've got the 17 Metallic Cream Shadow in Bronze but tbh always end up grabbing NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils… so much easier!

So happy that you posted about this, I'm exactly the same when it comes to eyeshadow in my day to day makeup life. I just want it to be easy and even recently I've started to grow out of super metallic shades. Will have to go swatch this for myself.
It looks gorgeous and quite similar to the Color Tattoos!
This looks SO good – I really really want to try it! xo
Ooh, that looks gorgeous on you! Definitely something for me to add to my wishlist!

I love cream shadows. Their ease in applying and how long they wear answers all my lazy beauty applying habits. This colour is so pretty and a prefect everyday colour.
I need to swatch some of these from Estee Lauder. I have heard great things about them
