A few weeks back I had a moment of hair care madness in Space NK and ended up making two stunning, but marginally bank breaking, purchases in the form of the Living Proof Prime Style Extender and Oribe Dry Texturising Spray. How the boyfriend did not stop me in my tracks I don’t know, but I have no regrets as styling my hair has now changed for the better!
Let’s kick this off with the worlds tiniest and most expensive little can – the Oribe Dry Texturising Spray is £18 of amazing scented, matte textured goodness. I have a serious love-hate relationship with this stuff only because of the price – it’s like spritzing away money… But I was feeling pretty spendy at the time and was dying to give it a try! Price aside it smells gorgeous and gives your hair a lovely lightweight, matte texture.
And then we have what could possibly be a holy grail hair care item. The Living Proof Prime Style Extender has been smoothed over my damp post wash hair every time without fail since it’s purchase. If you’re a no frizz, sleek hair lover like myself then this product will probably be for you. After applying a generous amount all over I blow dry my hair straight as usual, and that ladies, is where the magic happens. Normally I would need to use a hefty amount of product and straighten my hair post blow dry to stop my hair curling again, but with this my hair just stays exactly how I want it. I even tested this to the extreme last month when we went to Edinburgh – even sporadic showers and 30mph wind throughout the day couldn’t tempt my hair back into it’s naturally frizzy state! It’s love, that full on – can’t give without it, good hair days for life – kinda love!
So, what have we learnt from this experience? 1) It is possible to spritz away money (the Oribe spray can join the Diptique candles in that arena), 2) that Living Proof are a brand I need to invest in, and 3) the boyfriend is useless at preventing spendy purchases…
I really want to try the oribe spray but youre right- I'm not sure i can justify spending £18 for it!!

I really want to try the Oribe spray, but like you said it's like spritzing away your money! Just a shame it's so darn expensive! x

Maybe if I can find the style extender for a little cheaper I will have to try it out! It sounds amazing.
The Oribe Dry Texturising Spray sounds gorgeous! I know a few celebs love it too so it must be a winner!!

I have to try this! I usually trust black packages.
What a lovely post Suzie! I still haven't quite got to grips with the Oribe spray yet but I know it's going to be my new bestie. Love the sound of the Living Proof primer – I actually got a generous sample of this from Space NK as it was my birthday last month so I'm looking forward to giving this a spin as my hair gets all kinds of frizzy.

Living Proof products are incredible! I love their styling spray & cream, the primer isn't sold in Australia but I'm trying to get my little hands on it haha. Feel you on the candle front, it's like burning delicious smelling money.

I love that Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray so much, even though a part of me wishes I'd never tried it and become addicted!
