After spending a good year dreading the opening of my wardrobe for fear of a monstrous tower of clothes falling out, I decided enough was enough. The overflowing drawer of beauty loot had to go and the boxes of unnecessarily hoarded items were more than outstaying their welcome. After spending the long weekend sorting, stacking and squeezing everything in to place I thought it was time to film a new room tour!
You might have noticed I purchased some new acrylic storage for my makeup and skincare (don’t worry the draw full of beauty products does still exist, this isn’t all of it). I picked them up from Homebase and spent a total of £20 on both of them. Very reasonable considering how big the skincare tray is. I finally decided to take the plunge into acrylic storage after seeing the lovely Rumi Neely from Fashion Toast’s feature on Into The Gloss. Such a babe.
Anyway, clothes were thrown out – I was ruthless. I found the best way to make it easy on myself was to give the clothes away to my work colleagues. I picked out things specifically for certain people and prayed that I knew them well enough to pick the right things – there were some suitably impressed nods whilst people worked through their piles of clothes so I’m guessing I didn’t do too badly. A career change into Personal Shopping was also suggested…
