So the first sunny/marginally warmer weekend has finally happened! When I say warm, you guys know I mean higher than 11 degrees. I like to celebrate an occasion like this by cracking out the gradual tanners. I’m not one for the full on fake tans, but these go the treat and give me an “I’ve just been on holiday” kind of glow.
The holiday glow can be super hard to maintain when you’re a face washing fanatic. Guilty. Facial scrubs and flannel buffing is normally the prime culprit of your face looking like it belongs on someone elses body. For this the Clarins Liquid Bronze Self Tanning is my little sun giving saviour in a bottle.
I apply this every other day and exfoliate a couple of times a week to make sure the tan applies evenly. I use a 10p sized blob on a cotton pad and smooth it over my skin around 20 minutes after applying the usual skincare suspects. On first look you would think that this would make paler girls look orange, but I found that this actually works best when I’m pale and the results are pretty much non existent when I’m sporting a natural tan.
When it comes to body tanning, I’ll never be a fake tan kinda girl but the St. Tropez Gradual Tan Every Day Body Moisturiser (in medium dark) sits nicely between a light gradual tanner and a fake tan as it still packs a nice little punch. I apply it in the evening around 20 minutes after any other body products have been applied. The colour builds up nicely and is noticeable from the first use, so I find this is a good one to use as a one off if you just want a little colour or every day for a constant healthy glow.
I may have missed the one hot day down south this weekend by being in Edinburgh, but it doesn’t mean I can’t look like I spent the day at a bar on the beach! Now, if you’ll excuse me ladies, I need to get my gradual glow on before I go back to work…
The Clarins Liquid Bronze Self Tanning sounds like something im going to have to try out! My face is looking too pale at the moment! Thanks for the review!

I really want to try the Clarins gradual face tanner! I'm definitely going to buy it! At the moment I'm using Garnier's gradual tanning moisturiser, and it works really well, there's light and dark too. x

I'll admit I tan in a bed but only because it is the only way my extremely pale skin can get even a little bit tan. I'm thinking on starting to use some tanning lotions though this summer. But I was at Sephora and the St. Tropez products all looked so orange!
Love the Clarins Face tanner, definitely one of the best I've used!! 🙂 ♥

Haha ummmm it looks like I'll need to get this gradual tanner! My skin is too pale…and it's almost Summer time!!
Yay for it being a moisturizer too – and not just a fake tan spray.
I want to get my hands on the clarins face tanner, I'm far too pale! x

I love the st tropez gradual tan! Have you tried the Garnier summer body? It smells lovely & is a more affordable alternative, I find that it works nearly just as well. I really want to try the clarins liquid bronze but my skin is so sensitive, I'm worried that it'll break me out :/
I LOVE the St Tropez gradual tanner, it was the only one I used and it never failed me! I'm experimenting with some cheaper versions at the moment but I've not found one yet that quite beats it. The Clarins face one looks good too! xx

I really need to start with the gradual tanner again! So much easier than regular fake tan! He Shi is my go to brand at the moment! It develops into a beautiful natural colour!
