My eyebrows are a weirdly important feature for me personally. After years of hating my bushy monobrow-esk eyebrows as a child I started plucking them at the age of 12. I was always very reserved and only ever went too far once… Then my mum grabbed a load of magazines and showed me where my brows should start and end – lesson learnt.
For my everyday eyebrows I use the Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil (as seen in the video). Lazy day eyebrows require MACs Charcoal Brown and a Mac angled brush. Charcoal brown is a tad to warm for my ash-brown brows so I need to invest in a more grey tone to mix with it, To keep my brows under control I use the HD Brows Brow Beater* which keeps them neatly in place.
When it comes to eyebrow maintenance, I pluck the stray ones that crop up outside of the shape i’ve created, always making sure the arch is defined and the ends are thin (as they have the ability to be seriously thick, long and all round cray cray! In order to keep the shape I can create when brushing my eyebrows up I simply trim them with a little spooley and tiny scissors. This isn’t necessary for everyone but my brow hairs have been known to reach centimeters in length, not ideal for someone who loves neatly groomed eyebrows.
Apart form the odd trim and pluck, the brows are fairly low maintenance, and I am very lucky to have eyebrows that have some form of natural shape and definition – but I will always like to define them that little bit more…
