There’s normally no bold lip better than a red one, well for me anyway, but an orangey/red lip? Even better! I’d passed by Fire Cracker by Topshop whilst browsing in the Topshop makeup section a handful of times before I decided to take the plunge and put it on my birthday list back in October. At first I found it quite difficult to work with, but a few weeks ago I decided to bosh this little baby out to spruce up an outfit – it has not left the lipstick pocket of my Zara city bag since.
When I say orangey/red, it sits comfortably between Lady Danger and Infrared by Topsop. If you like to get matchy-matchy it’s also a very close colour match to Essie “Meet Me At Sunset” – my favourite Essie polish EVER!
The formula is super creamy and opaque, which is worth watching out for, as smudging it can make you look like you’ve recently wolfed down a big bowl of tomato pasta. Not a great look. However this can be easily counteracted by using a matte lipstick or lip balm underneath or, my favourite – building it up and blending it in with your fingers. This way it sticks around a little longer too.
Perfect for when you want to make it look like you’ve tried – but really haven’t – this goes everywhere with me just incase I need to spruce up super quick! It works amazing with a tan (when I say tan I mean I’ve piled on the bronzor… it is still February after all!) and I find it really brings out the eye colour of whoever it’s applied to. It’s also less than £10. That ladies is what I call as result!
