When it comes to a night out/in with the boy, I tend to wear my makeup very differently to a night out with friends. Josh is one of those boys that doesn’t even notice if I wear makeup – bless him – so I tend to keep things effortless and simple when it comes to date nights.
I recently repurchased the Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moitsutiser in the shade Bisque, in the summer I love nothing more than buffing in a load of the shade Fawn, but at the moment that would leave me looking like I belong in a chocolate factory. A nice pea sized amount of this leaves me with a super glowy skin with a nice light coverage. I then go over my dark circles with the Origins Plantscription Concealer in shade 2 – another product I had to repurchase in a lighter shade – damn you winter!
I then pop on a quick dash of the Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder and following it up by blending my Soiel Tan De Chanel on my cheeks and up to my temples – if you can’t crack out the Chanel on Valentines Day, when can you!? I then give my cheeks a little lift using the Jemma Kidd Dewy Glow All Over Radiance Cream. What. A. Mouthful.
For eyes, I keep it simples – A light wash of Arena by MAC (my new favourite), a swipe of the Rimmel Scandaleyes Liner in Nude and lashings of mascara. I’m currently using Revlon Grow Luscious as I’ve lost a fair few eyelashes recently and this baby just seems to make lashes appear out of nowhere!?
Josh hates the thought of lipstick loaded kisses, so a little bit of lip balm thrown is on for good measure and I’m good to go. Regardless of what we end up doing tonight this look works with everything and leaves more room to play with my outfit. I tend to make at least three outfit changes before I’m ready to leave the house so, sorry Josh, I might be a while…
