If there’s one “colour” I wear a lot of, it’s a variant of white, grey or black. A minimal range like that doesn’t leave too much real colour to play around with, so I like to mix things around and add a splash of real colour with my nails.
Last week my polish of choice was Topshops Peaches and Cream, but this week I’ve enjoyed a slightly more striking peachy-pink kinda polish. Essies Tart Deco is usually one of my favourite summer colours – even though at first I wasn’t too keen – but recently I’ve decided to give it an outing in an attempt to brighten up my cosy, slouchy rainy-day-grey cardigen.
This bold little number is available on the diffusion line, hurray for it being available in Boots and Superdrug! Not so hurray for the fact that this was a present from the US, so it has the slightly tricky brush – despite this it still applies and lasts fairly well – something you can’t always count on from an Essie. Big thumbs up from me!
So it’s been a slightly out of character choice of colour for January, but I’ve actually really enjoyed a pop of colour through the snow and grey mornings. I can’t guarantee how long this phase will last for though. Let’s face it, I belong on the dark side…
