The Sunday Post: Bedtime Beauty

The Sunday Post is normally slightly more lifestyle themed than beauty, but after one super crappy weekend, all I want to do is get in my Christmas Primark pajamas and slather the wonderful items above onto my face.

This routine covers all the essentials: makeup – gone (note: I did cleanse after using Bioderma, for my current foundation a water based cleanser just wont do), serum – on, eyes, face and lips – all moisturised! It’s quick, and my skin soaks it all in and looks lovely the next morning! You’ve all heard me rave until the cows come home about Bioderma and the Estee Lauder ANR, but when it comes to moisturising, there are a few items that have barely had the chance to grace the blog yet…

The Nuxe Reve De Miel is a matte, orange scented lip balm – Yum! I find that it provides a protective layer against the elements, and that is an essential for me this time of year. Also, again, orange flavoured. It’s just the best thing ever! Pricey, but well worth it for the amount you get and the quality of the product. The Clarins Multi Active Day Moisturiser was an older purchase back in January, in the warmer months I strayed from using it, but now I need something a little heavier, it’s perfect. Yes I use it at night instead of in the day, but my day moisturiser is super light, so this is far too heavy for day use. The smell is lovely, if not a little granny-ish, but lovely none the less.

Finally, a lovely new eye cream has strolled into town now that the Origins Eye Doctor cream is on it’s last legs – the Lierac Diopti Calm Anti Fatigue calls it’s self an instant soothing, eye contour balm and mask. It’s not as moisturising as the Origins Eye Doctor cream I have loved so much, but is a good £10 cheaper for the same amount of product and helps to nourish the area and keep you looking a little more alive – dark circles be gone! (well, almost – it’s not as good as the Balance Me eye cream for dark circles) It’s a little thicker than my day time eye cream, so I have leaned towards using it at night, and so far I like it. The packaging is more lightweight, travel friendly and hygienic than the origins eye cream too.

That’s it for this weeks Sunday Post, unfortunately the routine above will have to wait, as I’m going to see The Hobbit tonight (even after insisting I’d rather be in my pajamas!). I hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend, I’m very excited as Friday is my last day at work until January- get ready for lots of new posts in the week leading up to new year!

I've just bought the Nuxe lip balm this weekend & I'm loving it- the scent is divine & it's so moisturising. Definitely worth the heavy price tag!

It's not really bad, just do what ever works best for you! I find I benefit more from a night time routine than morning 🙂 x
