The Review: Laura Mercier Silk Cream Foundation

I have to report that this month I found ” The One”. Yep, you guys know what I’m talking about, that “perfect for your skin type, lasts all day, makes you look like a goddess” holy grail foundation. Interested? Then keep reason for a rave on the Laura Mercier Silk Cream Foundation.

I’d been searching for a winter foundation for a while now. You all know in the summer I’m strictly a TM kinda gal. But in the winter my skin lacks radiance (9hours a day in the office = not so great skin). I’ve dabbled in a few different medium/full coverage foundations, but the finishes and lasting power just weren’t right for me. Cue Laura Mercier, I love their TMs so I thought I’d give their foundations a whirl!

The Silk Cream foundation is a medium/almost full coverage foundation. Upon applying for the first time, I thought it appeared similar to the YSL touché éclat foundation, cue disappointment. I looked away from the mirror for a second and when I looked back it had set into a not quite matt, but luminous finish. My skin has never looked so flawless.

To top it all of it has amazing lasting power and the colour match is perfect! It costs around the £30 mark, which I’m happy with for the quality.

Naturally not everyone is going to love this as much as I do, one of my closest friends hates it. Let me know your thoughts on it if you have tried it!

I've heard really good things about this foundation. I really want to try it but might have to wait until after Christmas to spend so much, glad to hear you think it's worth it though :).

I really wanted to try this but the make up lady at Laura Mercier recommended another to me, absolutely hated it! Think it was called Moisture something.

I've heard loads of good stuff about this foundation but I'm loving my Bobbi Brown one at the moment, and I think tis Laura Mercier might be a little out of my price range sadly.

This sounds so lovely but I think it would be too much coverage for me! I'm more of a light coverage girl these days.

I LOVE this foundation. I have the lightest shade btu it's still a little too warm for me! I'm trying out different ways to put it on to make it blend well, determined to love it!
