The New Year Wishlist

The New Year Wishlist

On Friday I put together a little shopping list for myself so that I can budget my money more effectively in 2013. If I know what I need to prioritise, I’m less likely to wander aimlessly around shops, spending money on unnecessary items.

Top of my list is (admittedly slightly boring) tights! Does anyone else find that you just seem to lose your favourite pairs of tights? I’m considering picking up some of the super cosy tights from Primark, but if you have any other suggestions for super thick black tights then let me know, as my favourite ASOS ones are no longer stocked *cries*.

Next up is a re-purchase of one of my all time favourite skincare items – luckily I have a boots voucher that will cover this baby – thanks nan! It you have a few nasty spots you want to be rid of – the Origins Out of Trouble mask is your best bet, it also helps when my skin is having a freak out and gets super oily.

And then we have the trip to MAC. Which may or may not be happening today… I’ve heard lots of lovely things about Stero Rose Mineralize Skinfinish and Please Me, so I’m off to see if I can get my hands on either of these – wish me luck!

Finally, I need a new skirt in time for spring, trouble is I struggle to find the perfect one as I’m super tiny and most skirts drown me. I have a feeling I’ll be raiding petite sections of Topshop and Miss Selfridge in my quest to find the perfect one. I’m also considering getting some disco pants. I really like the way they look as they come across as slightly slimming, I just don’t know if I want to cough up the cash just yet – what do you think?

Let me know if you have a wishlist on your blog as these are one of my favourite types of posts! I’m off now to get ready for my MAC trip and to write a second post for today – keep your eyes peeled folks 😉

For skirts why not try the childrens sections? It might sound a bit weird but I fit into their stuff and it's often cheaper! H&M & Zara are good.
And I wasn't sure about disco pants so just got the Glamorous copies to try the style first 🙂

I'm forever wondering if Disco Pants are a sensible investment! With my sizeable thighs I'm thinking no 🙁 And I also think that if I set up a wishlist each month and actually stick to it it'll save me money…no such luck. I buy all of the items on payday then forget about them within a week and start "treating myself" again! x

A little advice if you're looking for skirts – check the River Island sale, it's not too good online but they were so many nice one's on sale in my local RI. I got a black velvet one for £10! 🙂
