So, I’ve picked up a few new haircair bits and bobs since the boy and I got back form France. It’s all spurred on by that event that happens twice a year, and is kind of a big deal… I got a haircut! You may have noticed in my last post, my hair was falling past my waist – even when curled. It was getting greasier after about 2 or 3 days (unusual for me) and was looking a bit lifeless and hard to manage. 10 minutes with my scissors and 2 inches later, I feel brand new! So what have I added to my collection? Read on my pretties…
First things first, I noticed a few weeks back that Bumble and Bumble haircare products had appeared on the Boots website. After checking in store about six times I finally saw the new display with a huge selection (I think maybe the full line?) of their products on sale. BIG. OLD. GIRLY. SQUEAL. I instantly picked up a mini of something I’d been wanted to try for some long (but didn’t want to pay full price for… I know… cheapskate!) Next time I wash my hair I will be using the Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray! I spent so long trying to decide at the display I got a text from my boyfriend asking if i’d got lost on the way to the cinema (Oops!).
Loosing a few inches of hair has reminded me I needed to re-vamp my haircare supplies. Your hair condition can change depending on your diet, amount of exercise and those stupid girly hormones, so it’s a good idea to bring in some new bits and bobs to freshen things up a bit. I decided to start by trying out a couple of hair masks, with the frequent use of GHDs and the fact that winter is coming, the ends of my hair are becoming dry easier. I decided to try both a high end and more budget(ish) hair mask to bring some life back to my hair ends. I grabbed the Bumble and Bumble Deep Mask and the James Brown Moisturising Hair Mask. I can already confirm that one of them does result in lovely bouncy hair.
In addition to to my hair masks, I also have a heat protection collection in the making. With pretty smooth timing, I was kindly sent the GHD Heat Protection Spray*. I haven’t tried it yet as I haven’t washed or brushed my hair since it arrived (Oops again) but i’ll report back with my thoughts on this one 😉 I also picked up the Treseme Keratin Smooth Heat Protecting Spray, I won’t say too much until I give it a full review, but I have really enjoyed using this!
Let me know if you’ve tried any of these and what you think! 🙂
