The Summer Series: Foodie Friday

Late night posting as per usual, and this week I’m posting on Friday by the skin of my teeth. You will have to forgive me as I didn’t get home to eat until 9:30! My first day back at work was slightly crazy to say the least! After stuffing myself full of Chinese tonight it is definitely a challenge to write eloquently about food!

Whilst in any Spanish island or the surrounding areas, I will always take advantage of their fish dishes. They’re not to everyones taste, but most deinfitely to mine. There was nothing better than a salad with grilled Tuna/Salmon/Cod when we ate in the hotel. However when me and J ventured outside of the hotel to eat (admittedly in search of a Pizza) I found a lovely little place called Ninos right opposite our hotel which did a Paella dish.

Paella is one of my favourite meals, my boyfriends mum once tried teaching me how to cook it, but I never got the hang of it, so finding it on holiday was a dream come true. I’ll admit, the fact that the Mussels and Prawns came still in shells and with legs attached was a little creepy (the prawns eyes freak me out, okay!) but over all it was amazing, the rice wasn’t piled with sauce or too dry and meat and fish were cooked perfectly – no out right salmonella worries, always a plus!

J had a salad and the mixed meat dish, which was still sizzling aggressively when they presented it to him – amazing! After the meal we washed the food down with Honey Rum (my favourite) and Sangria, on the house. The manager also had a lots of shots alongside us and then as we left, planted a load of childrens lollies in my hands – such a cutie!

If you’re a little fish lover like me, and have any yummy dishes you think I should try, then pop then below as I’m really keen to try cooking more fish for myself!
