The Sunday Post – The Beach Day

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you may have noticed that things have been heating up in the UK recently – its been bloody lovely! I can’t believe that after the downpour we’ve experienced over the last month, I’m now sitting in my garden eating Ben and Jerrys (and a banana – to make me feel less guilty) and writing this post.

Yesterday, after being told every day for the past week that we would have a sunny weekend, I slowly peeled back the curtains. Half expecting to be greeted by grey skies to be honest, but thankfully my doubts were wrong and we’ve been blessed with a high 20 heat all weekend. J and I spent the day by a bar on Hove seafront, on arrival we had a traditional English breakfast and watched the waves roll in, before doing a little sun bathing. We later retreaded back to the bar for more drinks. It could not have been more perfect. This weather has also inspired me to start a “Summer Series” in which I’ll take you all through summer skin care, make up, outfits, and general summery goings on.

Looking back at these photos I feel the need to be at the beach again! This afternoon I’m nipping into Brighton to pick up a birthday present for a wonderful little 5 year old family member and then I’m off to a BBQ later!

I’ve been so stressed recently this weather could not have come at a better time, I’m such a happy bunny right now!

Hope you’re all having a wonderful weekend!
Suzie xo

The weather always cheers me up too! Even being in work is (slightly) less depressing. Have a great sunday.

Ahh the breakfast looks so tasty!

I wish I lived near a beach or seaside town…closest one to me is a good 1.5hr drive away so I've been sitting in my garden attempting to finish a book I started reading last summer (oop!) instead xx

I'm so glad I live here, I feel claustrophobic when I'm not by the sea, and don't worry, I've got plenty of unfinished books!

Wow what an awesome view to munch on that yummy brekkie! My brother lives in Brighton, we are hoping to visit in August during our trip home, so beach trip will be on the cards!
