Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair

After a good 2 or 3 months of moaning about the war zone that is my face, it has finally began to calm, I have the odd one that pops up occasionally but the real issue I’m left with is the crazy scarring that’s been left behind.  A few years ago my skin would have healed amazingly quickly and scarring wouldn’t be an issue, but as I’ve gotten a little older (not that I’m old) I’ve noticed my skin doesn’t heal as well as it used to.

After doing some research into serums and trying out a few samples I decided to purchase the Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum. The basic gist I got from the research was that it speeds up the skins repair, making it look younger, smoother, healthier, more even and hydrated, and helps to reduce the appearance of past damage and protects from future damage. I was slightly reserved about this product, as these are some pretty hefty claims to make, but I’ve heard so many good things about it from a variety of people I decided to take the plunge.

The first time I used it, I wasn’t sure there was much of an improvement, however the next day and every day after that I found there was marked improvement in my skin tone, it became much more even, smoother, and I can see a marked improvement in scarring and hyper pigmentation – BINGO! The redness in my skin is basically non-existent and it’s a lovely product that I’ve really enjoyed adding to my bedtime routine and really look forward to using.

Does it hydrate my skin or protect it from future damage? I’m not sure, but for all it’s claims it does the majority which I think is amazing. If I didn’t have a lot of scarring would I use it? Probably not, it’s a big investment at £41, but if you have a real need for it then I definitely recommend it. Oh, and the packaging is beautiful, so it looks amazing sitting on my dresser!

Happy Easter everyone!
Suzie

Sounds amazing! I wonder if it works on your body as well? I'm sure it would! I like the sound of this stuff! 😉

I don't see why not? It's a lot of money to spend on using it for your body as it will go very quickly. For moisturising, evening and healing scarring on your body I would actually recommend Palmers Cocoa Butter.

Don't we all! It's good your using a sample first though, just for the reassurance that your skin reacts well to it 🙂 (and you get a few free uses!)

I definitely need this, like you i've had a major war zone happening on my chin lately and while its calmed down with just the odd spot here and there i've too been left with horrible scarring which I never got before and I'm also finding it hard to cover it too so I think this will be my next purchase!

I'm currently using a prescribed gel for my spots which honestly, I see more as scarring and it's not really working – I've been using it for near enough 9/10 months now too. Would I see any results with just a sample of this? xx

I don't really think it's for me to say whether a sample would help, everyone's different, your skin heals at different rates even with a product helping it, and your scarring may be better or worse than others. I would get a sample first anyway though if you can just to make sure your skin reacts well to the product. x

Wow, that really sounds promising if how it worked for you is anything to go by 🙂 Will keep this in mind should I become interested in testing out serums. As I get older I definitely will need to improve my skin care routine, which currently is very minimal.
