Revlon Lip Butters

So if you’re a big lip product fan, the chances are you’ve heard about the Revlon Lip Butters, we’ve seen lots of blogs and vlogs from across the pond teasing us and telling us how good they are, and they have finally been released in the UK. Apparently in London, Boots and Superdrugs that stock these have empty shelves where they should be, but clearly no one in ol’ Brighty was that interested, as there were so many! – Except me that is…

I may have jumped at the 3 for 2 deal. Which is actually rare for me, but I couldn’t decide on a colour. Out of the products I bought, I found one “love”, one “like” and one “meh”. Seeing as two out of the three I bought are keepers, I have to say I’m pretty happy! The whole range is, if you hadn’t already gathered from the title, so moisturising! I suffer from extremely sensitive lips and so keeping them constantly moisturised is a must, so that is the first reason for loving these. Secondly is the packaging, I love the silver tube, and the flat tip of the lipstick is so convenient as it makes the product easier to apply on the go and look nicer for longer (in comparison to mac lipsticks that never keep their shape for long).

Creme Brulee  is by far my favorite by far out of the whole collection, it’s a nude without a hint of other shades, no hints of peach, pink or orange, which is perfect for my skintone. It glides on and is really quite pigmented and lasts for a good 3 hours before I need to reapply it – even them I can still feel the first application hasn’t completely rubbed off!

Tutti Frutti is pretty similar in the fact that it’s highly pigmented and lasts a while, however this seems more matt than Creme Brulee which has a slight shimmer to it. It photographs as more of a red colour, but make no mistake, this is orange! Think Topshops “Infared” but slightly more on the red side. I like this as an alternative to my Mac “Ravishing” lipstick and my Sleek Pout Polish in “Electro Peach”. It applies smoother than both of these products as well – making it a winner for me!

Peach Parfait as by far the most disappointing, when swatched on my hand, it looked like a really lovely muted pink with a slight shimmer. Once I got it home and tried it out, I saw that it was slightly too dark in its colour to look right on me and the slight shimmer became full on flakes of gold! Beautiful but just not right for me, it was however perfect for my mum, so MimmyB also ended up being treated to a Revlon Lip Butter!

Overall, I love these, they lived up to their hype for me and they’re really good value for money – I think I got these for around £7 each! Congratulations if you actually read all of this and made it to the end! I’m sorry I rambled for so long 😉

Love
Suz x

I've seen people raving about these on blogs but I'm not sure I'm sold yet, it seems to me as if it's more of a lip balm than lipstick but the shade you chose do look lovely xx

Thanks, to me they definitely don't seem like lip balms, although they are very creamy, I would put them in the same category as some of the lipsticks that are made by No.7 as they seem really similar in consistency 🙂 x

Awww hun! The boots I get them from in Brighton seem to run out every few days in the afternoon, but seem to restock in the morning. I would suggest getting up early and having a hunt for these if you really want them! x

I have Creme Brulee and I agree, it's fantastic! I also got Sugar Frosting which is a bit of a disappointment :/ I think Peach Parfait would suit me, but I'd have to order them online as everywhere seems to be sold out as it is at the moment!

It is so lovely – I bought a second I love it that much! It's sad to hear Sugar Frosting was a disappointment for you as it's next on my list!

I'm so angry they don't sell these in my country. I hope I can find them in Dubai when I go there in about a month…
