REN Hydra-Calm Cleansing Milk

This is a post that has been coming for a long time now, but I wanted to give this a really good run through before I told you all how much I love this., and when I say love, I mean LOVE. I can officially say there has been no other product that I have looked forward to using this much. I was given a few REN samples back in January after a little splurge in Space NK, and I have to say this is a range that I really want to purchase from more in the future, but for now…

The Claim: “A gentle cream formula enriched with fennel seed, omega 3 and calendula, the cleanser removes dirt and make-up, while protecting and healing stressed skin and reducing inflammation for a fresh complexion”

Does it do all these things? Well it is all down to individual differences but in my opinion, YES! It also smells amazing (similar to the Neils Yard Re-hydrating Rose Moisturiser) and I actually look forward to washing my face! It’s similar in its consistency to the Liz Earl Cleanse and Polish (which breaks me out *sad face*) and I use it in exactly the same way, taking it off with my muslin cloth. After fully massaging the product in I leave it on my skin for a few minutes to sink in and after removing it I love the results! It does such a good job of calming down the redness on my skin that my face looks airbrushed and feels so soft and clean without feeling tight.

I use this once a day, usually in the morning, with my Simple moisturising face wash at night (and sometimes both if I feel the need to double cleanse). I love the fact that REN products seem to be free of lots of nasty ingredients that are sometimes used, and they claim not to test on animals which is always lovely to hear.

The REN Hydra Calm Cleansing Milk is most definitely on the pricey side at £18, but you do get 150ml. If you’re in the market for a new cleanser and don’t mind splashing out a little bit, this could be the one for you (it also claims to be suitable for sensitive skins), it’s available from space NK and from various places online.

Does this remove all makeup like how Liz Earle does?

I can't really say as I double cleansed both when i used liz earl and now when I use the REN cleanser, but I think it's very good at getting of the excess bits I missed. x

Ah I love an excuse to try any new skincare products! This sounds great, the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish broke me out too – literally the WORST spots I'd ever had, gross… Thanks for this 🙂 x

This was my first "proper" cleanser and I completely fell in love with it! I can totally vouch for it being good for sensitive skins and it lasted me ages too 🙂 xxx
