The “No Make-up Face”…

If you read this blog regularly you will probably have heard my whining about the fact that my skin has gone completely crazy due to stress over the past month. Because of this, on weekends I like to keep my make up really simple. This has resulted in the “no make up face” – which ironically consists of a fair few products, but I’ve really been enjoying it for a while now, as its light and gives my skin a chance to breathe, but I don’t have to look at the mess of spots on my face!

I start by applying the Ren Hydra Calm Cleansing Milk to my face in the morning – I use it the same way you would the Liz Earl cleanse and polish and take it off with my muslin cloth. From Day 1 of using this cleanser I knew I liked it, it made any redness on my skin almost unnoticeable and just feels and smells lovely. After cleansing I rub my Origins VitaZing moisturiser into my skin and wait about 5 minutes for it to sink in – after this my face has a beautiful healthy glow (as opposed to my standard grey “office skin”). I then dot my Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer in the necessary areas and use my Real Techiques stipping brush to blend it in – I really think it works so well for this, even though it’s meant for foundation (which personally it takes too long for me) it is small enough to bend around the eye area effectively and makes it look more natural. After this I lightly pencil in my eyebrows with the Rimmel Professional eyebrow pencil and comb them through, curl my eye lashes, and add one coat of my Avon Super Curl Mascara (love this mascara so much!) To stop my lips getting dry use he Sleek lip balm in Peachy Pink and dab a little bit of Topshops Nevada over the top to make them a bit more nude.

Now you may be wondering why you can’t see the spots I’m chatting about on my face, and that is a combination of a very lucky shot with the camera, some carefully applied make up and the fact that my skin seems to be getting better by the day (if I’d taken this photo a few weeks ago this would look very different!) Regardless of your skins condition, this is still a lovely look for a quick dash to Sainsburys.

In other news, I bought some amazing shoes today (x2) which I might have to show you soon! I can’t decide on whether to do a blog post or video haul so let me know if any of you have a preference and I’ll get cracking!

Suzie

This is a great way to let your skin breathe but still feel like you're wearing something.
I've been really loving your blog recently – one of my new favourites!

You look so pretty here! I have awful skin and always end up piling on the foundation and concealer but I should let it breathe! X
