Blusher love – Flushed by Sleek

A few weeks ago I was watching meganisobel’s channel (link) when pomegranate blush by Sleek caught my eye. I’d been after Fever by Mac for a while now and it looked pretty similar, however when I got to Superdrug, the stall had already been stripped of most of its contents… This bad news was saved by the fact that I found Flushed,  a natural dark red/pink – not as cool toned/purple as Pomegranate but still pretty much what I wanted so I snapped it up sharpish (accompanied by an abundance of lip glosses by various brands).

It may look a bit scary, but Flushed is quite sheer in it’s application, so it can be built up to your desired colour – a big plus point for me as I hate unintentionally over applying product. I really like it as a combined blush/contour as it makes a nice change to a standard brown contour (see above).

All in all I actually really enjoy using this blush, and for the price I love it even more. I’ll definitely be returning to pick up Pomegranate and possibly swatch Rose Gold, so keep your eyes peeled for that. I would so recommend these if Mac and Nars are out of your current budget (as they are for me at the moment – *cries*!

Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend! I went to London yesterday (more for business reasons than pleasure, however I did pick up something on my travels which I might talk a little bit about over the next week. I find London quite overwhelming at times, consequently I’m quite exhausted and plan on spending the rest of my day in my bed!

I've been meaning to try out Sleek make-up since its took over a huge part of my superdrug store now! That colour applies so nicely, how much was it? (I can't find a price anywhere in your post – unless i'm just blind!) I really want to try Sleek's contour kit too.

Oops – I completely forgot to add it, I think it sits around the £4.95 mark, but I cant confirm it as they're not showing up on the Superdrug website :

Thank you 🙂 I used the Real Techniques blush brush – so soft and the best shape for contouring! x

Sleek's contour kit and their new blush trios are currently on my wishlist. I've never tried any of their blushes but might give one a go now. I do want to have a swatch of Rose Gold. You've blended this blush nicely, it's pretty for spring. 🙂 x

Thank you 🙂 They're well worth a try as they cost so little it's not the end of the world if you don't get on with them x

I haven't tried Sleek blushes yet but I'm dying to get my hands on Pomegranate, although it looks like Flush is next on my hit list as well!

It did look intimidating in the box, but I like it on. Super pretty color.

The colour really suits you. It looks so scary in the pan, I'd never have thought it would apply so sheer. Rose gold and Suede are gorgeous too x
