For my birthday, my mum filled a box with some mini goodies in addition to my bigger presents, the box was full of some absolute gems, including Topshops “Nice N’ Neutral”. I’ve fallen in love with this one, and it has replaced my favorite nude polish (Accessorizes “Fudge” – a beige/nudge with hints of pink) as my go to nude nail varnish. Nice N’ Neutral is a light browny/beige nude colour with what I can only say are strong hints of lilac underneath. Some may say it shows pink undertones (my best friend would probably agree as she’s convinced I’m colour blind – we ALWAYS have disputes over turquoise colours – I say they’re blue, she says green…) but in comparison to Fudge, the undertones in Nice N’ Neutral are much cooler than the pinkey undertones that are present in Fudge, and therefore it brings me to say lilac…and trust me I have given this some thought in those dull moments at work when I’m stuck on hold to Kenya.
What ever the underlying colour may be, you cannot escape the fact it is beautiful! I love it so much I may have to pick up a second bottle! The other great thing about it is that Topshop have, knowingly or not, created its double in a shimmer version, Dust Storm, is almost an exact match. However the only difference is it s slightly less opaque and the shimmer brings out more pinky tones when it catches the light. Both are stunning, and once again the Topshop nail varnishes have not disappointed!
